WHO WE ARE:
Our membership includes folks of all ages and varied backgrounds. Whether you're a seasoned davener or just returning to synagogue life for the first time since Hebrew School, Adat Chaim welcomes you. We offer a variety of social, educational, and service programs provided by the Adult Education Committee and Sisterhood. We firmly believe that Jewish learning is a lifelong process!
Congregants are encouraged to participate in services; both men and women serve as lay leaders and as members of our Yad Squad Torah-reading corps. B'nei Mitzvah are welcomed as fully-participating members of the synagogue community.
Core Value: Adat Chaim shall be guided by traditional Jewish values supported by the ideals of our Torah.
Mission statement: The mission of this congregation shall be to maintain a synagogue in order to help further the core values of Judaism by:
• Providing a nurturing supportive environment.
• Providing educational, religious, social, cultural and recreational activities for our members and the greater Jewish community.
• Providing diverse opportunities to those seeking the exposure to and understanding of Jewish life and community.
WHERE WE ARE
Our location is 10989 Red Run Blvd., Suite 109, Owings Mills, MD. We are a part of the Reisterstown-Owings Mills-Glyndon community. We have watched the area's growth and witnessed significant settlement of Jewish families in the area. With the expansion of the Jewish community now extending even further west, into Carroll County, Adat Chaim is ideally situated to serve the Jewish community.
Our shul supports "Adopt a Road" as we maintain a length of Red Run Boulevard. Each year, Adat Chaim sets up a booth at the annual Reister's Towne Festival, getting acquainted with the community at large and inviting Jewish residents to join.
JOIN US ON OUR JOURNEY!
After 35 years of change and growth, we are working hard to make sure that our synagogue continues to evolve, from a pioneering outpost into an institution that will be here for our children and our grandchildren. We invite you to get to know us by exploring this website and then, come and visit us in person for a tour or to celebrate Shabbat with us! Discover the shul that's "small enough to know you, big enough to meet your needs."
